Call of Duty Mobile sees over 1 million pre-registrations in China in first 24 hours
Activision and Tencent opened up pre-registration for the upcoming Call of Duty Mobile game in China this past week, and according to early reports, the game has seen over 1 million pre-registrations in the first 24 hours.
The new Call of Duty Mobile game is coming from TIMI, a Tencent owned studio, and will publish the game in partnership with Activision worldwide, not just in China.
Activision announced the new Call of Duty Mobile game at GDC in March and said it would feature elements from Black Ops and Modern Warfare series, alongside new content that brings the Call of Duty world to life on mobile.
Activision stated during their recent conference investor call that the Call of Duty Mobile game worldwide has surpassed 10 million pre-registrations on Google Play Store. The iOS App Store does not have a pre-register option for the game, for now.
Activision plans to bring pre-launch betas of the Mobile game this summer with full launch of the game expected later this year.
